2018+ Honda Goldwing Trunk Mounting Kit
This kit provides a rock solid base for riders to mount the aftermarket
trunk of their choice to their “Standard” model (bagger) 2018+ Honda
Goldwing.
The kit starts with our base mounting brackets from our Trunk Quick Removal
Kit for the 2018+ Tour models. This allows your bike to be fitted and
kitted in many many ways, and is a great feature for future resale.
What is the problem this kit addresses? The factory crossplate and
sub-brackets underneath the painted rear shell are only designed to carry
5lbs, and will break apart if a trunk is mounted to them. This kit
eliminates this problem and guarantees a solid surface that will not fail to
mount your trunk on. The new extreme duty crossplate and support brackets
are solid billet aircraft aluminum, and fit precisely under the painted
shell.
From that point, you will need to fabricate whatever connects your trunk to
the crossplate. So effectively, this kit gets you 90% of the way completed,
you will only need to source a few small things to mount whatever brand of
trunk you choose.
